THE PROCESS

From raw material to a finished track.

Open each step to see what happens to a demo, vocal or sketch during production.

01 · BUILD

Give the idea a clear form.

Demo, chord progression, vocals or lyrics are assessed together. Structure, instrumentation and sonic direction are then defined.

Possible steps

  • Develop song structure, transitions and dynamics
  • Choose instruments, samples and sonic palette
  • Strengthen or rearrange existing parts
  • Translate references into concrete production choices

02 · CAPTURE

Capture and shape strong performances.

Recordings are prepared, organised and edited while preserving the performance and character.

Possible steps

  • Prepare session, microphone setup and recording levels
  • Record instruments, vocals and additional parts
  • Select, edit and align takes cleanly
  • Combine virtual and analogue instruments with purpose

03 · FINISH

Give every element space and impact.

Balance, dynamics and depth are refined. Consolidated feedback leads to focused revisions and clean delivery.

Possible steps

  • Shape levels, panorama and frequency balance
  • Use automation, effects and transitions with intent
  • Revise from consolidated feedback
  • Export mix, instrumental and agreed versions
